Brid Cummings is a fiction writer living in South Australia. Her love of nature and exploring the wild places of the world provide inspiration for her stories, which often offer a glimpse into what lurks beneath the veneer of civilisation.
As well as a writer, Brid is also a therapist and has been fortunate to work in a diverse range of settings including a Ugandan hospital, a forensic unit and a remote island off the north coast of Scotland. Her experiences have allowed her the privilege of hearing stories from people of very different backgrounds, including voices rarely heard in mainstream society.
Brid has had short stories published in both literary and commercial publications. She has also had children’s poetry published (finding children more appreciative of her sense of humour!)
